Reedsport Foursquare Church
About us

You can find our more about Foursquare Churches in general by going to www.foursquare.org. (See the Resources page.) There you can check out the history, statement of faith, and national news regarding Foursquare.
Reedsport Foursquare started in 1971 in a little building where Mast Brothers sits today. It's heart was to bring the love of Jesus to the residents of Reedsport and grow a culture of growth and service that would change our community. That heart has not changed since those days when Carolyn McGuire and a small group of folks started to meet.
Today, RFC is still loving the residents and still proclaiming Jesus. We are known as a catalyst church, a hospital, a place that people feel accepted. We worship a lot! Music is a big part of all of our services. We love the oldies, but most of our songs are on the cutting edge of what God is doing today. Children are welcome in our services, but we usually have a children's church experience so they can meet with Jesus at their own level.
Foursquare churches are pentecostal in flavor with a strong dose of Bible teaching. That means we want to go where the Holy Spirit leads as long as it fits with scripture. You will probably see video presentations, power points, dramas, altar calls, corporate calls to prayer, Prophetic words, and occasionally tongues and interpretation. We pray for healing and personal ministry is available at every service because what good is inspiration without application.
Being Jesus with skin on is very important to us. Jesus calls us to be a light to the world and to love people as well as Him. We support missionaries around the world and have several of our members serving in Honduras. We take teams out to minister whenever we can and believe in helping right here in Reedsport. Our annual Family Festival brings our whole community together to help children be ready for school. Backpacks full of supplies, free haircuts, bike repair, a clothing given away with lots of free food and games make this a day that many families look forward to. Over the past 14 years we've given away over 2,500 backpacks of supplies.
Our Staff

Pastor Terry and Paula Plotz
Pastor Terry and Paula came to us in April of 2001. They did lots of things before the move to Oregon: missionary houseparents, Bible camp directors; Children's home directors, teachers, Scout executive, homeschoolers and lots more. They brought with them a wealth of experience with a good dose of humility. They've parented over 30 children including 4 of their own and love to see families grow in size and in strength. Paula works as a 4th grade teacher at Highland Elementary and loves to pray with people.
Under Pastor Terry's leadership we continue to grow in our gifting and our niche in the community as a forerunner church. He is an excellant teacher and seeks to help us grow into our own gifting, fighting off the status quo and seeking what the Lord would have us do now. He sees the big picture and brings it home to us in ways we can easily understand. He has the heart of a father and really looks out for us.

Pastors Ben and Della Hill
Pastor Ben and Pastor Della are just a hoot to be around. Their energy and passion for Jesus is only matched by their love for people. Ben grew up here in Reedsport and fell in love with Della at Life Bridal (oops - Bible) College in So. Cal. They are a powerful couple of worshippers and prayer warriors that help us with worship, youth, children's ministry, prayer ministry and cover for Pastor Terry when he is gone.
When they are not at church, Ben is a full-time contractor fixing and building things all over the area and Della is a full-time mom who home-schools their three kids and encourages folks all over.
